DESCRIPTION

1.1 This test method covers the determination of the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals may form in aviation turbine fuels.

1.2 The reporting range of test results considered valid for the applicability of precisions (r and R), and for the purpose of test result reporting in accordance with Practice D6300, is –64.5 °C to –37.2 °C. For details, see 15.1.3 for ILS summary description and how the reporting range is calculated from the lowest and highest achieved ILS sample averages.

1.3 Units—The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
