This standard establishes a detailed procedure for ITS conformance assessment which can be applied within the shadow toll domain. Acceptance testing and ongoing quality assessment are considered as the main constituents of this standard. The second part of this standard, covers the definition of the functionality and performance requirements for traffic detection systems, vehicle counting and classification equipment, developing a sound but straightforward model for systems certification.
