To establish the necessary requirements in research, diagnostic and production fields for biocontainment and biosecurity to control and reduce the risk associated with handling and storage biological agents or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or biological toxins that affect humans, animals or plants. These agents, toxins or GMOs are classified or assimilated with risk group 3 or used in activities of confined use type 3 in the case of GMOs.
