This standard specifies a set of indicators and tools, associated with the governance and the axes of an intelligent tourist destination (governance, innovation, technology, universal accessibility, sustainability), for its application in the management of intelligent tourist destinations, so that efficiently serve for decision-making by the managing body of the destination and by those responsible for the processes or activities affected and, consequently, contribute to the improvement of the destinations. In line with the introduction of the UNE 178501 standard, the objective of this standard is to provide a logical framework of work for managers of tourist destinations, which not only improve their management systems, processes and documentary records, but providing them with a battery of indicators and tools that allow them to interact with tourists and obtain information during all phases of the tourist trip cycle. This standard establishes a logical model applicable to any tourist destination that undertakes a process of digitization and technification of its processes and services, as well as a measurement of its performance in a comparable and verifiable way, regardless of its size and location. This standard has been designed to be used in conjunction with the UNE 178501 Standard, although it can also be used independently.
