The aim of the review of the standard is to update and better define the scrap qualities and its requirements for the consumption in both the steel production and foundries. Furthermore, it will include quality specific differentiations to be reported as far as possible, due to some requirements for emission inventories. In no event, it prejudges the legal status of the material, whether or not waste.
