ČSN EN 81-58

This document is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards for lift landing doors that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. EN 81 20 has identified the need for lift doors to act as fire barriers against the transfer of a fire via the lift well. This European Standard specifies a procedure for this purpose. It follows the general principle of EN 1363 1 and where appropriate the procedure of EN 1634 1. Additionally a tracer gas technique for establishing the integrity of a lift landing door is used. Lift landing doors are not included in the scope of EN 1634 1.
