DESCRIPTION

UNE 178101-2:2018

The purpose of the series of standards UNE 178101 is to define metrics applicable to public service networks: water, waste, energy (electricity and gas), telecommunications and transport, in order to provide the best services to citizens, while at the same time maximum efficiency and easy integration into the environment. All this within the framework of smart and sustainable cities. In particular, part 2 of the UNE 178101 series of standards defines the metrics applicable to the networks of the public waste service of a city. The scope of this standard is the management systems (networks) of urban waste, whose management falls in the city councils of more than 5000 inhabitants according to the established in the article 26 of the Law 7/1985, April 2nd , regulator of the Bases of the Local Regime, that provide the services of collection and treatment of urban waste according to the regulations applicable. The metrics included in this document are understood in the context of smart cities, so their application is restricted to this field. This means that both the achievement and improvement of the reference values that are set, as well as the provision of the necessary information for the calculation of the metrics, must be supported by a technologically advanced environment in which a use is made and promoted. intensive use of information and communication technologies. Given the extensive application of the mentioned technologies in the construction and operation of these networks and the progress of these, it will be necessary to review these metrics over time. Thus, the base of indicators is established for the environment of 2018, with an annual data collection and a scenario of possible revision in 2023.
