This standard establishes requirements for the certification scheme of persons, according to UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17024, when the certification of accredited persons constitutes one of the access routes to the professions included in the different industrial safety regulations. This standard guarantees transparency and objectivity in the assessment of the competences of certified persons and contributes to the uniformity of action of certification bodies wishing to become accredited in the field of industrial safety. This standard establishes principles and requirements that are transversal to the different categories of persons operating in the field of industrial safety and mainly describes elements of the evaluation process to be followed by certification bodies, as well as other requirements aligned with the provisions of chapter 8 of the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17024.
