The purpose of this standard is to define the characteristics and establish the test methods for electro-welded steel mesh for structural use as reinforcement for concrete and its constituent elements (B 500 T wires), as well as the conditions for controlling all of these characteristics. The requirements of this standard apply to electro-welded steel mesh for reinforced concrete reinforcement manufactured with B 500 T steel wires in accordance with Standard UNE 36099. This standard does not apply to electro-welded mesh manufactured with smooth steel wires.
