This draft standard revises the current version of sulphate resisting cements standard trying to align the text with the requirements established in the harmonized product standards of cement used. Therefore, it specifies additional requirements to be fulfilled by the corresponding cements complying with EN 197-1 and EN 14216 to be considered sulphate resisting cements as well as the conformity criteria. Moreover, these cements have the same, even stricter, requirements than sea water resisting cements and therefore a cement designated as sulphate resisting cement should also be considered as sea water resisting cements although not on the contrary.
