This test method is based on the ASTM G109 and covers a procedure for accelerating the natural penetration of chloride ions, by exposure to moisture-drying cycles, to determine the period of time taken by those ions to reach the reinforcement embedded in a concrete specimen and to start up the corrosion until limits specified in this statement.
