This standard specifies more specific requirements to be considered for installation, operation, use and maintenance of industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates, new installation ones, following the criteria and in addition to the Eurpean Standard EN 12635 requirements. It also specifies the criteria for doors that are already installed (also in repair and maintenance aspects) in areas in the reach of persons, and for wich the main intended uses are giving safe accecs for goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by persons in industrial, commercial or residential premises. This Standars also covers closures or rolling shutters and roller grilles, which are mainly used for the accesss of persons rather than vehicles or goods.
