This specification defines the Web Services interface for electronic access control systems. This includes discovering components and their logical composition and controlling them. Furthermore the specification also defines the Web Services interface for interaction with physical doors. This includes but is not limited to controlling the physical doors and monitoring their state. It also includes a mapping of mandatory and optional requirements as per [IEC60839-11-1:2013] as covered by annex B. This specification applies to physical security only. Physical security prevents unauthorized personnel, attackers or accidental intruders from physically accessing a building, room, etc. Web service usage and device management functionality are outside of the scope of this document. Please refer to the [IEC 60839-11-31] for more information. This specification doesn t in any way limit a manufacturer to add other protocol or extend the protocol defined here.
