This clause of Part 1 is applicable, except as follows: Addition: This standard applies to hand-held hedge trimmers; and extended-reach hedge trimmers with a maximum length of 3,5 metres which are designed for use by one operator for trimming hedges and bushes. NOTE The measurement of the length for extended-reach hedge trimmers is specified in 21.101. This standard is not applicable to hedge trimmers or extended-reach hedge trimmers with a rotating blade. This standard is not applicable to scissors type grass shears that are covered by IEC 60335-2-94.
