This document provides non-contradictory complementary information that can be of use when producing or purchasing aggregates according to the harmonized standard prEN 17555‑1:2021.
NOTE
prEN 17555‑1:2021 is also required to be read in conjunction with the Construction Products Regulation.
The use of aggregates as soil is not covered by prEN 17555‑1:2021. This is because there is a huge variation of geological and pedological conditions in Europe and precise definition of soil can only be found in the documents related to the application in the place of use. Reference can be made to the non-harmonized standards in the EN 16907 series for further information.
