Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für flexible, werkmäßig hergestellte, erdverlegte Fernwärmerohrsysteme mit Mediumrohren aus Kunststoff und Verbund zwischen den Schichten der Rohrbaugruppen fest. Es ist nur in Verbindung mit prEN 17878 1 anwendbar. Dieses Dokument gilt für Rohre, Formstücke, ihre Verbindungen untereinander sowie mit Rohrleitungsteilen, deren Werkstoffe nicht aus Kunststoff bestehen und die für Fernwärmeinstallationen vorgesehen sind. Dieses Dokument ist für eine maximale Betriebstemperatur von 80 °C und einen maximalen zulässigen Betriebsdruck bis einschließlich 1,0 MPa für eine Auslegungsnutzungsdauer von mindestens 50 Jahren anwendbar. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für Überwachungssysteme. Für höhere Temperaturen oder für den Transport anderer Flüssigkeiten, z. B. Trinkwasser, sind zusätzliche Anforderungen und Prüfungen erforderlich. Derartige Anforderungen sind in diesem Dokument nicht festgelegt.
