This standard determines the fuel quality classes and the olive stone specifications. Specifically, this standard refers to the ground and classified bone, in which the pulp (mesocarp), the skin (epicarp) and the seed have been removed. Excluded from this standard are olive pits treated with chemical additives, such as salt or soda. This standard covers only olive pits produced from fruit biomass according to the classification in table 1 of the UNE EN ISO 17225 1 standard.
