This standard describes procedures for obtaining laboratory data concerning the acute toxicity of oil pollution response products such as dispersants, bioremediation agents and sorbents released into marine waters. Acute toxicity is measured by exposing Vibrio fischeri to a series of product concentrations under controlled conditions.
