UNE 83520:2025

The purpose of this standard is to define a Barcelona test method to determine the cracking resistance, toughness and residual tensile strength of fibre-reinforced concrete by means of a double punching test on a cylindrical or cubic specimen. Unlike the method proposed in UNE 83515:2010, which requires the use of an extensometric chain to measure the total opening of the cracks, the method proposed in this standard is based on the control of the vertical displacement of the piston through which the load is applied, being the vertical displacement and the load the two parameters that are measured during the execution of the test.
