The purpose of this standard is to define the systems and technical conditions to be followed for the installation of windows with or without compact roller shutter casing and external pedestrian doors in the opening of the building, with the dual purpose of providing security for the user and the durability of their performance over time. This standard is applicable to windows (including balcony windows and roof windows) with or without compact roller shutter box and external pedestrian doors, whatever the material they are made of, as defined in the UNE EN 12519 Standard, regardless of the type of building work and situation of the window with respect to the opening on which it is to be fixed. It is applicable to both new construction and renovation of windows. From this point on, and for this standard, "window" is understood as the whole of the enclosure consisting of a window or door, as a finished product, including, or not, the roller shutter box. This standard does not apply to: - windows and doors subject to smoke control and fire resistance regulations; - skylights; - skylights; - windows and external pedestrian doors in escape routes; - structural type windows (glass glued to frame). - windows with external mini or tunnel type box, for the shutter box section - site-built boxes
